Snow and Ice

The on-set of heavy snowfall and icy conditions can be very sudden and potentially dangerous bringing business' ability to function to a halt.

It's very important that you are prepared for periods when your business may be disrupted by snow and ice either by the inability to:

• Deliver orders to customers
• Receive supplies from stockists 
• Function due to the inability of staff to get to work

Dumfries and Galloway Council has arrangements to help to keep Council roads, cycle and pedestrian areas clear for use during adverse weather conditions. More information can be found on www.dumgal.gov.uk.

• Severe Weather Forecast 
• Advice during severe weather

Severe Weather disruption should be considered during the development of a Business Continuity Plan.
