First Aid

Consider learning first aid? Learning basic first aid is an important skill that could serve many purposes.

First aid is a skill which is useful to have in a number of situations, at home, at work or in the community.

Having a first aid kit in your vehicle will let you treat minor injuries quickly or provide support until other help is available.

A basic first aid kit may include:

  • Washproof plasters and / or sterile dressings to stop bleeding on minor cuts and scrapes.
  • Disposable health care gloves, to prevent the spread of disease or infection.
  • An instant cold compress to help lessen or prevent inflammation.
  • Antiseptic wipe packets, to cleanse superficial cuts and scrapes.
  • Triangular / Roller bandages to keep dressing in place, apply pressure, or support a sprain.
  • Adhesive cloth tape / safety pins, to secure bandages or gauze.
